24seven Case Study

Vizone were appointed by 24seven to act as the consultancy responsible for the ‘embedding’ of 24seven’s corporate asset register for Eastern (TXU) and London Electricity distribution networks.  24seven Utility Services Ltd (Work and Asset Management) was created in 2000 to manage the electricity distribution networks in London and Eastern areas of the United Kingdom, by its parent companies, London Electricity and TXU Europe.  Formed to bring the management of power networks under a single organisation to yield economies to the two shareholders, the company was subsumed into the London Electricity Group in 2004 and then became part of EDF Energy during a takeover from the French utility EDF.
  
Vizone provided the Programme Implementation Manager and team for 24seven that optimised work management and stores processes for usage of the MIMS/Ellipse system. We also:

  • Optimised work management process, increasing usage of MIMS system, through facilitating agreement and ensuring adherence to common business processes, arranging appropriate training, support and access to users.
  • Design and Implement the training of users to adhere to common business processes, arranging appropriate support and access.
  • Prioritised data cleansing activity and deployed appropriate hand-held units to support ongoing asset data capture, as part of the inspection work process.
  • Resolved longstanding technical issues and secured required developments and interfaces, in support of a wider change programme.
